Roseburg Cheer is holding a cheer competition on Saturday at Roseburg High School.

The giant event will include seven teams from Douglas County and nearly twenty-five teams from all over western and central Oregon. Around 80 performances are expected to take place throughout the day.

There will be several recreational cheer divisions for various ages. High school groups will include kids from classes 6A, 5A, 1-4A and a coed division.

It will begin at 9:00 a.m. Admission is $10 per person, with kids under age 5 getting in for free. Concessions will be available. Shirt and bow vendors and cheergrams will be for sale as well.

The event is a fundraiser to pay for Roseburg Cheer. It is a non-funded athletic activity at RHS. The team has to raise approximately $40-45,000 thousand dollars every year to pay for team activities, equipment and uniforms.
