The Oregon Department of Transportation says that Melrose Road reopened in the area of the Conn Ford Bridge construction project on Tuesday evening.

The road had been closed for one week at the South Umpqua River about one mile west of Roseburg, as contractors placed beams on the new bridge. A traffic signal is in place and the speed limit is 35 miles per hour in the work zone.
