Roseburg Police cited a man for prohibited outdoor burning on Sunday.

An RPD report said 3:40 p.m. officers contacted the 48-year old at a camp located under the Stewart Park Bridge at the intersection of West Harvard Avenue and Northwest Stewart Parkway after multiple callers said there was a large amount of smoke coming from the area.

The man allegedly had a large fire going next to his tent. He admitted to setting the fire before extinguishing it. The man was released after the citation was issued.
