This week, State Representative Christine Goodwin has had a busy start to her campaign for Senate District 2, connecting with voters at three consecutive campaign events up and down the district.
A campaign release said she also kicks off the race as Oregon’s #1 most conservative elected Republican.
The Conservative Political Action Conference Foundation’s Center for Legislative Accountability recently released its 2023 ratings of the voting records of state legislators in all fifty states. Her release said not only does Goodwin rank #1 as Oregon’s most conservative legislator currently serving, she also ranks #2 in Oregon history.
Goodwin said, “I was encouraged to see the support of so many this week as I launched my campaign for Senate District 2. My constituents have always known me to be a rock-solid conservative fighter, and CPAP agrees”. Goodwin said, “I show up. I advocate for my district and I never back down from a challenge. My record as a State Representative proves this to be true and I look forward to bringing this approach to the Senate”.
Goodwin has served in the Oregon Legislature since 2021, representing the north half of Senate District 2. SD 2 stretches from Cave Junction to Central Point, to the southern end of Douglas County. Her campaign website is https://electgoodwin.com/
