ROSEBURG POLICE JAIL MAN FOLLOWING ALLEGED ROAD RAGE INCIDENT

Roseburg Police jailed a man following alleged road rage incidents on Wednesday.

An RPD report said just after 1:00 p.m.  officers responded after a caller said a driver pointed a firearm at another vehicle occupied by three people. The suspect was identified as 65-year old Michael Sears. All three occupants said Sears pointed a silver pistol at them on two separate occasions.

The original incident reportedly occurred on Interstate 5 southbound near the Edenbower Boulevard on-ramp. The second incident occurred in the 900 block of West Harvard Avenue after Sears reportedly followed the first vehicle.

Sears was charged with unlawful use of a weapon, menacing, and for second-degree disorderly conduct. He was detained without bail.
