ROSEBURG HIGH SCHOOL CANCELED FOR REMAINDER OF THURSDAY

January 18, 2024 10:00 a.m.

Due to a power outage that began at around 8:15 a.m., classes at Roseburg High School are being closed for the remainder of Thursday. RHS Principal David Vickery said without power, many of the bathroom facilities are not functioning and the school will not be able to provide meals. Vickery said all after school activities Thursday are canceled as well.

Students were released at 10:05 a.m. with buses running on their regular routes. Parents are welcome to pickup students as well.

Vickery said families will be updated once more information is available from Pacific Power. The utility is currently indicating that power will not be restored until Thursday evening.
