Sutherlin Police jailed a woman following an alleged assault incident on Sunday.

An SPD report said shortly before 7:25 p.m. during an argument a woman allegedly threw a can of bean dip at a victim, causing a gash on the man’s head. He refused to be transported for medical care. The woman was charged with fourth-degree assault and detained without bail.

She was released on Tuesday.
