A Myrtle Creek man was jailed for an alleged burglary by the Douglas County Sheriff’s Office on Monday.
A DCSO report said shortly after 11:00 a.m. a deputy was in the area of the 100 block of T Marie Lane in Myrtle Creek when a witness said he had just seen a man and a woman enter a nearby burnt down trailer and steal a construction light. The manager of the park said the stolen lights were his.
Deputies located the vehicle and conducted a traffic stop. The stolen light was observed in the rear seat of the vehicle. The driver admitted to entering the residence and stealing the light.
The 38-year old was charged with second-degree burglary. He was held without bail. The man was released on Tuesday.
