Roseburg Police jailed a man for an alleged theft incident on Monday.

An RPD report said at 9:30 a.m. the 34-year old allegedly stole a wheelchair from CHI Mercy Medical Center on Northwest Stewart Parkway so he could push his belongings around like a shopping cart. The wheelchair was valued at $1,345. The man was found in front of a business in the 900 block of Northwest Garden Valley Boulevard.

The suspect was charged with first-degree theft. He was detained without bail
