HIGHWAY 138E REOPENS BETWEEN DIAMOND LAKE JUNCTION AND U.S. HIGHWAY 97

January 14, 2024 12:30 p.m.

Highway 138E reopened between the Diamond Lake Junction (OR-230) and U.S. Highway 97 as of 12:00 p.m. Sunday.

Information from the Oregon Department of Transportation said drivers should be prepared for delays and chain restrictions. OR-230 remains closed between Diamond Lake Junction and Union Creek due to downed trees and heavy snow. Travelers between Medford and Bend should use an alternate route.

Highway 138E reopened in Glide after an earlier closure due to flooding at Honey Creek Road. Drivers should expect lane closures as crews continue to clean up mud and debris. Watch for high water in the area.
