Roseburg Police jailed a man for an alleged menacing incident early Monday.

An RPD report said at 12:30 a.m. officers responded after a caller said 40-year old Roger O’Neal was allegedly waving a knife around at an establishment in the 800 block of Southeast Cass Avenue, after he was told to leave due to previously being trespassed.

O’Neal reportedly charged the bartender a few times but eventually left when he was told that law enforcement was in route. He was contacted at a nearby business in the 700 block of Southeast Jackson Street and detained without incident. A knife was allegedly found in his pocket.

O’Neal was charged with menacing and second-degree counts of disorderly conduct and criminal trespassing.
