A Glendale man was arrested for driving under the influence of intoxicants-alcohol by the Douglas County Sheriff’s Office Friday night.

A DCSO report said shortly after 10:00 p.m. deputies responded to the 6700 block of Azalea-Glendale Road in the Glendale area after a single-vehicle rollover crash. Deputies found the pickup on its driver side in the roadway. The 66-year old driver was extracted from his vehicle and placed into an ambulance.

The report said the man smelled of alcohol and admitted to drinking. He was transported to CHI Mercy Medical Center for evaluation.  Mercy advised that the driver’s blood alcohol level was .28, which is three and a half times the legal limit for intoxication. The case was referred to the District Attorney’s Office for medical records.
