Roseburg Police added a new charge to a man Thursday, who was already in jail.

An RPD report said at 12:00 p.m. officers responded to Lowe’s in the 3300 block of Northwest Aviation Drive regarding a past theft of a welder, valued at nearly $1,050. Officers identified the suspect as a 43-year old from video surveillance footage. He was contacted at corrections and charged with first-degree theft and remained detained on $1,000 bail.
