Registration Open for Mushroom Growing Class from OSU Extension

Registration is open for a popular mushroom growing class hosted by the Oregon State University Douglas County Extension Service.

Growing Your Own Mushrooms” will be held Saturday, March 2nd, at River Forks Park from 12:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m.

The class is described as an introduction to growing mushrooms through a hands-on workshop focusing on the production of three edible species of mushrooms; Wine Caps, Lions Mane, and Shiitake using materials sourced from local forests.

The cost of the class is $50 and registration is required.

Participants are asked to watch a 1-hour prerecorded webinar that will be emailed to them 2 weeks before the class date to properly prepare.
