An alleged road rage incident Thursday morning led to three Roseburg residents landing in jail on multiple charges.

The Roseburg Police Department says it was alerted to a situation involving a Chevy Avalanche and a recreational vehicle that started in the Hucrest area and continued out of town.

Officers and Douglas County Sheriff’s deputies responded around 11:30 a.m. to the Melrose Store where they arrested 32-year-old Michael Borges, 34-year-old William June and 54-year-old Ava Thacker for allegedly attacking the driver of the RV.

According to the police report, Thacker was driving the Chevy Avalanche and attempted to run the RV off the road, colliding with the vehicle at one point.

The incident led to the Melrose Store where Borges and June reportedly entered the RV and pulled the driver out of the vehicle by placing a rope around his neck and dragging him out. Borges attempted to tie the RV driver’s hands behind his back, while June drove the RV from the area and parked at a nearby lot before returning to scene, according to police.

RPD says that witnesses stated they observed Thacker, Borges and June assaulting the RV driver on the side of the road. All three are currently lodged at Douglas County corrections, where they are being held without bail.

Borges is being held on charges of third-degree assault, strangulation, unlawful entry into a motor vehicle, menacing, unlawful use of a weapon, second degree kidnapping and a parole violation.

June is charged with third degree assault, strangulation, unlawful entry into a motor vehicle and unauthorized use of a motor vehicle.

Thacker is charged with reckless driving, third degree assault and recklessly endangering another person.
