Roseburg Police arrested a 35-year-old Roseburg man on strangulation and harassment charges Thursday afternoon.

Officers reportedly responded to a disturbance at a residence on Southeast Houck around 1:30 p.m. A 35-year-old woman allegedly claimed she was choked by a man while at the Douglas County landfill.

When the man and woman returned to the residence, the man allegedly shoved the woman against a wall.

The man remains in custody on strangulation and harassment charges and is being held without bail.
