A Roseburg man was jailed for an alleged harassment incident on Christmas Day.

A Douglas County Sheriff’s Office report said Monday just after 3:45 p.m. the 33-year old allegedly confronted a victim about getting assaulted on a past case. This took place in the 500 block of Evelyn Street in the Melrose area. When the victim wouldn’t tell the man who had assaulted him, the suspect reportedly punched him four times in the face.

A deputy placed the man in custody and took him to corrections without incident. He was charged with harassment and was detained without bail.
