A Dense Fog Advisory is in effect through 7:00 a.m. Friday for much of southern Oregon.

Forecasters at the National Weather Service said visibility of less than a quarter of a mile in dense fog is expected.

The Advisory area includes the Umpqua, Illinois, Applegate and Rogue valleys and applies to the cities of Roseburg, Elkton, Sutherlin, Grants Pass and Cave Junction.

Hazardous driving conditions due to low visibility is forecast.
