The celebration of life for Scott Henry has been set for December 31st from 2:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. at the Southern Oregon Wine Institute.

Information from the family said due to the heartwarming amount of interest, the decision was made to change the venue for the event, which had previously been set for Henry Estate Winery in Umpqua.

The remembrance will take place on what would have been Henry’s 87th birthday. Residents are invited to toast the life of Scott next to the teaching vineyard that bears his name.

Known as one of the pioneers in the Umpqua Valley Wine industry, Henry planted the first part of his vineyard in 1972. Henry Estate Winery opened in 1978. Scott Henry passed away on October 26th at age 86.
