Roseburg Police jailed a woman for alleged theft and cited her for unlawful possession of fentanyl on Friday.

An RPD report said at 10:40 a.m. officers were dispatched to a business in the 700 block of Northwest Garden Valley Boulevard regarding a female shoplifting suspect. Employees followed the woman to a nearby business where officers made contact. The 32-year old admitted to stealing multiple items from the grocery store and was taken into custody without incident.

At corrections, she was allegedly found to be in possession of less than a gram of fentanyl. She was jailed for third-degree theft. Bail was set at $1,250. The woman was released later in the day.
