A Roseburg woman was jailed following allegedly resisting arrest on Thursday night.

A Douglas County Sheriff’s Office report said at 10:30 p.m. officers were checking for an address in the 100 block of Beverly Court in Green due to the report of a runaway juvenile.

33-year old Brittany Ramos and four other allegedly intoxicated people were driven to the location. Ramos reportedly got out of the vehicle, approached a deputy and began screaming at him to leave her house. Deputies were in the street and had no idea what the suspect was talking about. Ramos was told to go home numerous times and advised of disorderly conduct, but reportedly continued to yell and slapped a deputy’s hand.

Ramos was told she was under arrest but resisted and was ultimately taken to the ground. She allegedly continued to resist and was drive stunned with a taser in the back. With assistance of a Winston Police Department officer, Ramos was put in the back of a patrol vehicle. While putting her in the vehicle, she reportedly attempted to kick a deputy in the groin.

Ramos was taken to jail on charges of harassment, resisting arrest, attempted assault of a law enforcement officer and for second-degree disorderly conduct. She was detained without bail. Ramos was released on Friday.
