The Sutherlin Timber Town Toy Land Electric Parade is happening Saturday.

This year’s theme is Charlie Brown Christmas. 70 lighted and decorated trucks and cars with lights are expected. The parade begins at 7:00 p.m. and is free to enter. Registration to participate starts at 4:30 p.m. The registration booth can be found at the intersection of Hastings Avenue and Taylor Street.

Participants must be lined up by 6:30 p.m. so the entries can be judged. Awards will be given out in the categories of: best on theme, Santa’s favorite, best non-profit and best commercial float. Each winner will get prize money based on whether their entry comes in in first, second or third place.

The route starts on Taylor Street before going to South Comstock Avenue before heading north to Central Avenue. From there, the parade will end at Sutherlin City Park.
