The City of Reedsport is accepting applications to fill a vacant position on its city council

A City release said the person appointed will serve until the end of 2024. At the general election in 2024, the position will be open for election for a new four-year term.

According to the city’s Charter of 2006, to be eligible to serve, an applicant has to have lived inside the city limits during the previous twelve months, and must continue to reside inside the city. No person who is an employee of the city is eligible to serve on the council.

Anyone interested in applying for the position, can pick up an application at city hall on Winchester Avenue. They can also go to: www.cityofreedsport.org. Applications should be submitted by 5:00 p.m. on Friday, December 29th.
