SUTHERLIN POLICE JAIL WOMAN AFTER 3 INCIDENTS IN 6 HOUR PERIOD WEDNESDAY

Sutherlin Police jailed a woman after three incidents in a 6-hour period on Wednesday.

An SPD report said just after 7:00 a.m. 49-year old Wendy Shope allegedly “threw a fit outside” and harassed two victims in the 1300 block of Sunny Court. She was charged with harassment and second-degree disorderly conduct.

At approximately 11:50 a.m. Shope reportedly came after a victim with a stun gun and pushed him. She was charged with menacing and unlawful use of a weapon.

At 1:00 p.m. Shope was taken into custody for a city ordinance violation. She reportedly wanted to bring her purse to the jail. In her purse a container of methamphetamine was allegedly located.

Shope was then detained. Adding the incidents up, she was held for 8 charges including unlawful use of a weapon, menacing, 3 counts of harassment, 2 counts of coercion and second-degree disorderly conduct. Bail was set at $10,500.
