The U.S. Forest Service has Christmas Tree permits still available both in-person and online.

An Umpqua National Forest release said customers can purchase up to 5 permits per household, at $5 each, through the end of the year. These permits authorize purchasers to cut their own tree(s) on designated Forest Service lands. Maps identifying those areas, as well as other news and information, will be provided at the time of purchase.

Christmas tree tags are offered on: https://www.recreation.gov/ with a $2.50 service fee. That provides an opportunity to purchase and print permits from the convenience of their own homes. This provides an alternative to in-person transactions that are completed at Umpqua National Forest Ranger stations which are open at varying times, depending on location.
