One man was taken to the hospital after a vehicle versus pedestrian accident on Sunday.

A Roseburg Police report said at 5:45 p.m. officers responded to the collision at the intersection of Southeast Stephens Street and Southeast Oak Avenue. The motorist was turning from Oak Avenue to go northbound on Stephens Street. The pedestrian was walking in the crosswalk crossing Stephens Street. The driver said he didn’t see the man walking, and hit him with his sedan.

The pedestrian was transported to CHI Mercy Medical Center with a complaint of hip pain. The motorist was cited for failure to stop for a pedestrian.
