A Sutherlin woman died in a single-vehicle crash on Saturday.

Lieutenant Brad O’Dell of the Douglas County Sheriff’s Office said shortly before 11:00 p.m. dispatchers received a report of an injury crash in the 15000 block of Highway 99N near Oakland.

O’Dell said upon arrival, deputies determined that the driver of a 2012 Dodge Journey had been traveling south on Highway 99 before the vehicle left the roadway and crashed into a culvert. The driver was identified as 52-year old Jennifer Ann Levy. Despite lifesaving efforts, Levy, who was unrestrained in the vehicle, was declared deceased at the scene. Alcohol is believed to be a contributing factor in the crash.
