FREEZE WARNING/FROST ADVISORY FOR SOUTH CENTRAL OREGON COAST

A Freeze Warning and a Frost Advisory remains in effect through 9:00 a.m. Saturday for the south-central Oregon coast including parts of Douglas County.

Forecasters at the National Weather Service said for the Freeze Warning, sub-freezing temperatures as low as 30 degrees are expected. For the Frost Advisory, temperatures of 33 to 36 degrees will result in frost formation.

Freezing conditions are forecast for Saturday through much of inland Coos County, including Myrtle Point, Coos Bay, Coquille and Powers. Frost conditions are expected along the immediate coast Saturday from north of Reedsport down to near Port Orford.

Frost and freeze conditions will kill crops and other sensitive outdoor vegetation and may possibly damage unprotected outdoor plumbing.
