The Oregon Department of Fish and Wildlife has free fishing days in Oregon on Friday and Saturday.

An ODFW release said no fishing/shellfish licenses or tags are required for those two days. Both Oregon residents and nonresidents can fish for free.

All other fishing regulations apply including closures, bag limits and size restrictions.

ODFW said depending on water levels and conditions, fishing could be good for Chinook or coho salmon, but those wanting to fish should check the regulations first as not all rivers are open. Trout was stocked last week at several popular lakes in the Willamette Valley.
