This November has been warmer and wetter than normal in the Umpqua Valley.
Forecasters at the National Weather Service told News Radio 93-9 FM and 1240 KQEN that the average temperature this month at the Roseburg Regional Airport has been 52.9 degrees, which is 4 degrees warmer than average. That figure comes from looking at the high temperatures and low temperatures for each day. Roseburg’s warmest day was November 2nd, when the mercury reached 70 degrees.
Roseburg has received 4.64 inches of rain so far this month. The normal amount is 2.72 inches. For the rain year, which runs from the start of October to the end of September, Roseburg has seen 6.52 inches of rain. That is ahead of the average, which is 5.04 inches.
Saturday’s rainstorm brought .53 inches of rain, with an additional .16 inches of rain falling early Sunday.
Thanksgiving week should be generally dry, but there is a chance of rain on Wednesday.
