Monique DeSpain has launched her campaign for the Republican nomination for Congress in the 4th District.
A release said DeSpain seeks to unseat incumbent Val Hoyle next November “…in a bid to bring about a safer, more prosperous Oregon”.
DeSpain is a retired U.S. Air Force Colonel, mother of two boys and a public policy advocate who lives in Eugene.
DeSpain said, “As an outsider and advocate for government common sense policy, I’ve witnessed how our political leaders have delivered rampant homelessness, unsafe communities, rising prices and declining living standards”. DeSpain said, “I’ am running for Congress because I have never been more concerned for the future of my children and yours. I am determined to offer voters a fresh new choice to replace the unaccomplished, scandal-plagued incumbent Congresswoman Val Hoyle”.
