TWO ARRESTED IN STOLEN VEHICLE RECOVERY

Two Junction City residents were arrested and a stolen vehicle was recovered by the Douglas County Sheriff’s Office late Tuesday.

A DCSO report said just before 11:00 p.m. a pickup was stopped for traffic violations near the intersection of North Old Pacific Highway and Cherry Street in the Myrtle Creek area. The vehicle was identified as being stolen out of Junction City.

34-year old Michael Baker was charged with unauthorized use of a motor vehicle, possession of a stolen vehicle and for warrants. He was detained on $10,000 bail and was released on Thursday. The passenger, a 27-year old woman was detained for a bench warrant out of California and was held without bail.
