Roseburg Police jailed a man and cited a juvenile following an alleged theft incident early Thursday.

An RPD report said at 1:00 a.m. the 19-year old and 16-year old was caught during an attempted shoplift of beer from Sherm’s Thunderbird in the 2500 block of Northwest Stewart Parkway.

The man was charged with third-degree theft. He was detained on $1,250 bail and was released later in the morning. The teen was cited for being a minor in possession of alcohol and was released to a guardian.
