It was busy all day long and into the evening with steady crowds and lines all day as WinCo Foods opened its doors in Roseburg, on Monday.

That is the word from company spokesperson Noah Fleisher. He told News Radio 93-9 FM and 1240 KQEN that “the flow of traffic in and out of the parking lot and the store was also orderly, largely helped by the fact that Roseburg knows WinCo already and knows how we operate, so there’s no learning curve or serious back-ups”.

Fleisher said the store opened at around 8:30 a.m. after the raising of the flag and the pledge of allegiance. He said, “Roseburg waited a long time for its’ new WinCo, and has welcomed us with open arms”.

Fleisher said the company would not say how many transactions took place Monday.

A check of the store parking lot at 5:00 p.m. Monday by KQEN found the lot around 80 percent full. Some vehicles were spilling over toward Big 5 Sporting Goods and near the adjoining Sherm’s Thunderbird property.
