The National Weather Service has issued a Flash Flood Watch for the Smith River Complex burn scar for Friday evening through Saturday evening.
This includes portions of eastern Curry and Josephine counties.
Forecasters said heavy rainfall has a low probability of triggering flash flooding and debris flows on the Oregon side of the Smith River Complex. Heavy rainfall ranging from 2 to 4 inches over 24 hours is possible. Higher rainfall rates in thunderstorms will increase the threat.
