Douglas County government will close on Friday November 10th in observance of the Veterans Day Holiday.

A County release said while the courthouse and most county offices will be closed, some things remain open.

*The Douglas County Museum and the Umpqua River Lighthouse Museum will be open, both on Friday and on Saturday for normal business hours

*All county transfer sites that are typically open on Friday will remain open Friday. However, all transfer sites will be closed on Saturday

*All senior dining sites and meals on wheels delivery programs will be closed on Friday. Patrons are encouraged to ask for an extra meal on Thursday

*All county operated parks, campgrounds and boat ramps will be open and accessible to the public.

*Salmon Harbor Marina docks, boat ramps, camping sites and the Winchester Bay RV Resort will be open

Even though the Sheriff’s Office lobby entrance will be closed on Friday, deputies, 911 communications and DCSO staff will continue to provide law enforcement protection and emergency assistance to residents.
