The Oregon Conservation Corps of the Umpqua Valley will be hosting a Wildland Firefighter Job Fair on Thursday from 3:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. at Phoenix School of Roseburg on Northeast Diamond Lake Boulevard.

Wildland fire agencies along with private wildland fire contractors will share recruitment materials for fire personnel and assist in the application process for the 2024 fire season.

A Phoenix School release said this is an opportunity for members of this workforce community to learn of the new opportunities available in the region. The event will also help individuals looking to gain information and begin a pathway into the wildland firefighting workforce.
