Department of Veterans Affairs Deputy Secretary Tanya Bradsher will meet with facility leadership and tour the Roseburg VA Medical Center on Wednesday.

A VA release said Bradsher will also hear from staff and veterans firsthand about the on-the-ground implementation of VA’s electronic health record.

Bradsher was confirmed as deputy secretary in September. She is the first woman to have that role, the highest-ranking woman in VA history and the first woman of color to serve in the position.

Deputy Secretary Bradsher will meet with the media at 10:15 a.m. but there are no public meetings scheduled as part of this visit.
