A Roseburg woman was jailed for an alleged DUII incident on Saturday afternoon.
A Roseburg Police report said just after 4:50 p.m. an off-duty officer called in a pickup for failing to maintain its lane and crashing into multiple curbs. Officers contacted the driver in the 200 block of Northeast Jackson Street and allegedly noticed signs of impairment. 27-year old Heather Shafer reportedly performed poorly on standard field sobriety tests and was taken into custody without incident. Shafer allegedly refused to provide a breath sample and a warrant was written for her blood. She was taken to CHI Mercy Medical Center and a legal draw was conducted. Two juveniles were in the vehicle at the time of her arrest.
Shafer was charged with DUII, two-counts of recklessly endangering another person, and refusal to take a test for intoxicants. She was cited for having no operators license and driving uninsured. Bail was set at $22,500.
