A Freeze Warning is in effect through 9:00 a.m. Saturday and again from 2:00 a.m. to 9:00 a.m. Sunday for much of southern Oregon.

Forecasters at the National Weather Service said sub-freezing temperatures as low as 25 degrees are expected Saturday, with sub-freezing temperatures as low as 24 degrees early Sunday,

The Warning area includes central Douglas County, Josephine and Jackson counties and eastern Curry County.

Forecasters said frost and freeze conditions will kill crops and other sensitive outdoor vegetation and could possibly damage unprotected outdoor plumbing.

Locations in far northwest Douglas County, including Scottsburg, are more likely to remain above freezing with lows between 33 and 35 degrees.
