Volunteers are still needed for the second annual Make a Difference Day – Douglas County event happening on Saturday.

Make a Difference Day is a nationwide annual day of service, organized locally by a group of community service leaders to promote volunteerism.

Volunteers are still needed for several projects around the area. Many involve landscaping and beautification work at schools and non-profit organizations. A full list of the projects and information about how to sign up can be found at: https://makeadifferenceday.org/. Volunteers can choose a project to work on during a four-hour shift Saturday from 9:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m.

The primary local sponsors include the United Community Action Network, Thrive Umpqua, Greater Douglas United Way, Roseburg Public Schools, Sunrise Enterprises and JustServe.
