Roseburg Police jailed a man after he allegedly fired a BB gun during an incident in the 900 block of West Harvard Avenue Wednesday afternoon.

An RPD report said just after 4:10 p.m. 58-year old Travis Davis was contacted outside a business. He allegedly told officers he fired the BB gun to scare a victim who was inside the store. Davis was charged with second-degree disorderly conduct, a city ordinance violation for discharging the firearm and for a probation violation due to the new crime.

Davis was detained without bail.
