ROSEBURG GETS NEARLY A HALF INCH OF RAIN TUESDAY NIGHT THROUGH EARLY WEDNESDAY

The Umpqua Valley got nearly a half inch of rain between 5:00 p.m. Tuesday and 5:00 a.m. Wednesday.

Forecasters at the National Weather Service told News Radio 93-9 FM and 1240 KQEN that the Roseburg Regional Airport received 0.41 inches of precipitation in the 12-hour period. The heaviest rain fell at around 3:00 a.m. Wednesday. More rain is forecast for Wednesday with the possibility of a thunderstorm. Thursday will be sunny with a chance of rain back in the weather picture for Friday. Saturday through Tuesday is forecast to be dry with highs between 55 and 60 degrees. Overnight lows right around the freezing mark are expected for Friday and Saturday night.
