Deputies with the Douglas County Sheriff’s Office jailed a Roseburg man on a charge of second-degree disorderly conduct following an incident on Sunday.

A DCSO report said at 11:00 a.m. the 43-year old was contacted near the intersection of Northeast Stephens Street and Northeast Kenneth Ford Drive after callers said he was in the middle of the road swinging a hockey stick which was impeding traffic. When law enforcement arrived, the suspect was still in the middle of the road and refused to put the stick down. A taser was eventually deployed and the man was taken into custody. He was detained without bail.
