As of Thursday, there are no fire restrictions on the Umpqua National Forest and the fire danger level has changed to low.

A UNF release said Industrial Fire Protection Levels were removed due to the amount of precipitation the forest has received over the last several weeks and the extended weather forecast. Public Use Restrictions on the forest were rescinded on September 23rd. Even though PURs are no longer in place, the public is asked to remain diligent in making sure fires are dead out and cold to the touch before leaving.

The release said there is still an active fire closure present on the Umpqua. It took effect on September 20th and will end on December 1st unless it is rescinded sooner. https://www.fs.usda.gov/alerts/umpqua/alerts-notices/?aid=82858
