Roseburg Police cited a man for a violation amount of unlawful possession of methamphetamine on Tuesday.

An RPD report said just before 7:30 p.m. a backpack was turned in as found property in the 2100 block of Northwest Aviation Drive. The person who located it said there was drug paraphernalia inside. A syringe was reportedly found to contain a substance consistent with drug.

A 26-year old Oakland man was determined to be the owner of the backpack and admitted the substance was meth. He was cited and released on the scene.
