Roseburg Police jailed a woman for a reported theft incident on Tuesday.

An RPD report said at 6:30 p.m. officers contacted 35-year old Cirith Ellenwood. Bystanders claimed they recognized Ellenwood from a Facebook post where she was allegedly seen entering a vehicle and stealing an iPhone.

The suspect admitted to the theft and said she was at Walmart to turn the phone in to a kiosk for money. Ellenwood was taken into custody and charged with first-degree theft, unlawful entry into a motor vehicle and for a probation violation. She was detained without bail.
