A woman was charged with second-degree disorderly conduct and resisting arrest on Sunday afternoon.

A Douglas County Sheriff’s Office report said just after 4:00 p.m. dispatch received multiple calls about a woman allegedly walking in the roadway with no shoes on near the intersection of Del Rio Road and Old Del Rio Road. A deputy arrived in the area and located the female transient walking westbound in the middle of the road. She refused to comply with an order to stop and continued to walk away.

Eventually the deputy instructed her that she was under arrest and attempted to take the 38-year old into custody. She allegedly resisted but was eventually taken into custody. The woman was detained without bail.
