A man was hospitalized after his motorcycle hit a deer on Sunday.

A Douglas County Sheriff’s Office report said at approximately 9:10 a.m. the 41-year old was riding his motorcycle westbound in the 3900 block of Happy Valley Road when the accident took place.

The rider was transported to CHI Mercy Medical Center with minor injuries to his shoulder and hand, and bruised ribs. He was cited for driving while suspended. The motorcycle was towed from the scene.
