An Idaho man died in a single vehicle wreck on Highway 138E Wednesday evening.

An Oregon State Police report said at 6:05 p.m. troopers responded to the accident near milepost 21, east of Glide. A preliminary investigation determined that a pickup, operated by 70-year old Douglas Floyd of Middleton, was traveling westbound when the driver lost control. The vehicle left the roadway and struck a tree. The occupants of the pickup were extricated by first responders and transported to CHI Mercy Medical Center.

Floyd was declared deceased after being taken to the hospital. A passenger, 62-year old Kimberly Floyd, suffered minor injuries. OSP was assisted at the accident scene by other agencies.
